Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently reviewed teams developing a comprehensive stack of indigenous AI models, confirming they’re in excellent shape for public debut at the summit.
These models prioritize India’s unique needs—multilingual capabilities, local datasets, and sector-specific applications in healthcare, agriculture, and governance—reducing reliance on foreign tech while ensuring data sovereignty.
Over 200 focused AI solutions from leading IT firms will also launch, showcasing India’s rapid evolution from AI consumer to creator on the global stage.

Billed as the biggest AI summit yet, the event draws 15 heads of state, 100+ global CEOs, and representatives from 100 countries, with $70 billion in AI infrastructure investments already committed—expected to double by summit end.
Organized under the IndiaAI Mission, it advances technology democratization, bridging the AI divide through open-source models, compute infrastructure, and skilling programs tailored for developing economies.
