India and Pakistan are set to meet in the men’s cricket gold-medal match at the Asian Games 2026, with the final scheduled at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin on Saturday.
The match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM IST, with the toss at 9:30 AM. The encounter will be the first India-Pakistan cricket meeting in Asian Games history.
India Enter Final After Sri Lanka Win
India booked its place in the final after defeating Sri Lanka by 124 runs in the semifinal.
India scored 169 for 7, with Ishan Kishan unbeaten on 80 from 46 balls. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, making his Asian Games debut, contributed 38 runs.
India’s bowlers then restricted Sri Lanka to just 45 runs in 9.5 overs. Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets, while Abhishek Sharma also claimed two wickets.
Pakistan Defeat Bangladesh
Pakistan reached the final after beating Bangladesh in their semifinal.
The two sides will now compete for the Asian Games gold medal, while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh meet in the bronze-medal playoff.

India’s squad includes captain Shreyas Iyer, along with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi and Jasprit Bumrah.
The wider squad also includes Arshdeep Singh, Yash Thakur and Vipraj Nigam.
Pakistan’s squad is led by Sahibzada Farhan and includes Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Abdul Samad, Arafat Minhas, Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Wasim Jr.
