Maruti Suzuki India achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in January 2026, dispatching 236,963 units—a robust 11.6% year-on-year increase from 212,251 units in January 2025. This milestone underscores sustained demand and export prowess, with FY26 April-January cumulative sales reaching 1.98 million units, up 7.7% YoY.

Domestic Performance

Domestic passenger vehicle sales rose marginally 0.5% to 174,529 units, including OEM supplies totaling 185,943 units (up 0.4%). Utility vehicles like Brezza, Fronx, and Grand Vitara led with 75,609 units (up from 65,093), while compact cars dipped to 72,738 units amid segment pressures.

Export Milestone

Exports hit an all-time high of 51,020 units, soaring 88.3% YoY from 27,100, bolstering India’s auto export hub status. Light commercial vehicles like Super Carry fell 7.8% to 3,771 units.

Strong utility demand and overseas growth signal optimism despite domestic flatness, positioning Maruti for continued leadership in FY26.
