South zone (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu) accounts for 9.40 million bales, with Odisha and others adding 0.55 million bales total.
Supply and Demand Outlook
Total supply stays at 42.76 million bales, including 5 million bales of imports. Domestic consumption is projected at 30.5 million bales, exports at 1.5 million, leaving closing stocks at 10.76 million bales.
