Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated 51 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs on February 13, 2026, bringing the total to 370 neighborhood health centers across the capital. Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh oversaw launches like the one in Madipur, emphasizing accessible primary care with in-house labs and 12 essential services.
Rapid Rollout Progress
From 319 centers after January’s 81 additions, the government hit 370 within a year, serving over 14 lakh residents with treatments and affordable medicines via Jan Aushadhi Kendras. Gupta highlighted the pace to meet the 1,100-center target by March 2026, using ₹2,400 crore central funds previously stalled under prior administrations.
Healthcare Vision
These mandirs upgrade former mohalla clinics into comprehensive hubs offering free diagnostics, OPD, and Ayushman Bharat scheme linkages, with 6.9 lakh health cards issued. The expansion supports “Healthcare for All,” alongside ₹322 crore in new works for sustained primary care.
