Tata Motors has officially launched the 2026 Tata Tiago facelift in India at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹4.69 lakh, introducing significant design updates, a more premium cabin, additional technology features, and enhanced safety equipment. The refreshed hatchback aims to strengthen Tata’s position in the highly competitive entry-level hatchback segment.
The updated Tiago receives a heavily revised exterior design with a redesigned front fascia, new grille, refreshed bumpers, updated LED lighting elements, and newly styled alloy wheels. Tata has also introduced fresh colour options to give the hatchback a more modern and premium appearance.
Inside the cabin, the Tiago gets one of its biggest upgrades since launch. The hatchback now features a redesigned dashboard layout, dual-screen setup, improved upholstery, and a more premium interior finish. Tata has added several features that are usually seen in higher segments, including a 360-degree camera, dual wireless phone chargers, rear AC vents, Type-C charging ports, and connected-car technology.
The 2026 Tiago continues with Tata’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, while CNG variants also remain part of the lineup. Buyers can choose between manual and AMT gearbox options. Tata has additionally introduced paddle shifters for select AMT variants, enhancing driving convenience.
Safety remains a major focus for Tata Motors. The facelifted Tiago now comes with additional safety enhancements, including six airbags in higher variants, improved structural protection, electronic safety systems, and enhanced driver-assistance features.
The hatchback is being offered across multiple variants, with prices ranging from ₹4.69 lakh for the base petrol variant to nearly ₹8 lakh for the top-spec versions. The CNG range starts from approximately ₹5.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Motors has positioned the new Tiago as a value-focused hatchback with premium features, targeting first-time buyers as well as customers looking to upgrade from older small cars. The company is also betting on growing demand for feature-rich yet affordable vehicles in the Indian market.
The facelifted Tiago will continue to compete against popular hatchbacks such as the Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Maruti Suzuki Swift, and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
Alongside the petrol and CNG versions, Tata has also launched the updated Tiago EV, priced from ₹6.99 lakh, with the company introducing a lifetime battery warranty to strengthen its electric mobility offerings.
With its refreshed styling, expanded feature list, improved cabin experience, and competitive pricing, the new Tiago facelift represents one of Tata Motors’ most significant updates to its entry-level hatchback in recent years.
