Authorities have imposed additional security measures around the Parliament complex to ensure smooth functioning of the legislature during the session.
The government’s legislative agenda is likely to focus on governance reforms, infrastructure, economic development and public welfare initiatives. At the same time, Opposition parties are expected to demand detailed discussions on issues they claim require greater government accountability. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has appealed to all parties to cooperate in ensuring meaningful debates while avoiding repeated disruptions.
This session also comes against the backdrop of evolving political equations following recent changes in party alignments and parliamentary strength. Analysts believe these developments could influence debates, voting patterns and legislative negotiations during the coming weeks.
