India’s Adani Group has committed $100 billion by 2035 to create renewable-powered hyperscale data centres tailored for AI workloads, establishing a sovereign energy-compute ecosystem. This massive investment, announced at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, aims to scale AdaniConnex’s capacity from 2 GW to 5 GW across key campuses.

Strategic Partnerships and Locations

Adani is collaborating with Google on a gigawatt-scale AI campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, and with Microsoft in Hyderabad and Pune. Additional talks with global tech firms target Noida in the NCR region, integrating advanced liquid cooling and reserved GPU capacity for Indian AI startups and research.

Renewable Backbone and Ecosystem Impact

Powered by Adani Green Energy’s 30 GW Khavda project (10 GW operational), the initiative includes $55 billion more for renewables and battery storage to ensure carbon-neutral operations. Expected to unlock $150 billion in ancillary investments like servers and cloud platforms, it positions India as a global AI infrastructure leader. Chairman Gautam Adani emphasized nations blending energy and compute will dominate the intelligence revolution.
