PM Modi’s ‘Karmayogi’ Vision Gets Tech Edge
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated the importance of citizen-centric and technology-driven governance, calling it the cornerstone of India’s administrative transformation during the inauguration of Karmayogi Sadhana Saptah 2026. Addressing civil servants via video conference, the Prime Minister underlined the guiding mantra of governance — “Nagrik Devo Bhav” (citizen is paramount).
Reimagining Public Service Delivery
Highlighting the rapid pace of change in the 21st century, Modi stressed that governance systems must evolve continuously. He noted that public service must become more responsive, efficient, and sensitive to citizen needs, aligning with India’s development aspirations.
Karmayogi Sadhana Saptah, observed from April 2 to 8, is designed to strengthen the capabilities of government officials through structured training and skill-building initiatives. The programme brings together ministries, states, and training institutions under a unified framework, marking one of the largest capacity-building exercises in India’s civil services ecosystem.
Technology at the Core of Governance
A key highlight of the initiative is its emphasis on technology, tradition, and tangible outcomes—the three pillars guiding the week-long programme. The integration of digital tools, artificial intelligence, and data-driven systems is expected to enhance transparency, accountability, and service delivery.

By fostering continuous learning through platforms like iGOT Karmayogi, the government aims to create a future-ready civil services ecosystem aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
