Three minor sisters in Ghaziabad took their lives by jumping from the ninth floor of their high-rise apartment, gripped by severe addiction to a Korean online task-based game. The heartbreaking incident unfolded early Wednesday in Bharat City Society, leaving families and authorities stunned as police probe gaming’s dark influence post-COVID.

Sisters’ Chilling Final Moments Exposed

Aged 16, 14, and 12, the inseparable half-sisters—Nishika, Prachi, and Pakhi—shared every routine, from bathroom visits to meals, under their forex trader father’s roof with two mothers. Around 12:30 AM, they locked themselves in the puja room, stacked a chair, and leaped one by one from the window, dying instantly as screams alerted guards and locals.

A diary revealed “sorry” notes, crying caricatures, and delusions of being Korean princesses, not Indians—fueled by the game’s immersive tasks.

Korean Lover Game: The Addictive Trap

Police identified the culprit as a task-based “Korean Lover Game” app, hooking the girls since the pandemic; the eldest lagged in Class 4, skipping studies entirely. Despite parents confiscating phones, the sisters reclaimed devices, obsessing over virtual Korean identities and challenges.

Investigators will forensically analyze phones to uncover if a suicide dare triggered the act, highlighting unchecked screen time dangers.

Family Knew, Yet Tragedy Struck

Parents monitored the addiction but couldn’t curb it; the girls’ synchronized life masked deepening obsession. Autopsies underway, police rule out foul play, urging digital detox amid rising teen gaming suicides in India.

This case spotlights post-pandemic vulnerabilities, as families grapple with tech’s hidden perils on young minds.
