India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has activated a dedicated 24/7 control room in New Delhi to coordinate assistance for nationals amid the intensifying US-Israel-Iran confrontation now spilling across the Gulf.

Emergency Helplines Rolled Out

The control room operates daily from 9 AM to 9 PM IST via toll-free 1800118797 and landlines +91-11-23012113, +91-11-23014104, +91-11-23017905. MEA released embassy contacts for Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, and Jordan to aid over 1 crore expatriates facing airspace closures and attacks.

This follows Cabinet Committee on Security briefings and PM Modi’s outreach to Gulf leaders.

Coordinated Government Response

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced a daily inter-ministerial group tracking trade, shipping, and energy vulnerabilities from Hormuz disruptions. With 1,609 flights canceled and 58 resuming today, Civil Aviation monitors fares while Petroleum assures 25+ days reserves backed by Russia’s full-supply pledge.

India prioritizes dialogue, expatriate evacuations, and economic safeguards as Putin also engages Gulf states for de-escalation.
