Strategic Manned-Unmanned Teaming
Russia’s proposal introduces cutting-edge “manned-unmanned teaming” where the Su-57MKI acts as a command fighter paired with the heavy S-70 Hunter drone, capable of carrying 2.8 tonnes of weapons for deep-strike missions. The Hunter drone scouts ahead, detects targets, and shares real-time data, boosting the Su-57’s combat range and safety while minimizing pilot risk. Under Modi’s leadership, this integration supports local production in India, reducing import dependence and creating high-tech jobs.
Boost to Make in India Initiative
The pact includes full transfer of critical technologies like engines, AESA radars, AI systems, and stealth coatings, enabling India to manufacture these platforms domestically. It follows the landmark Modi-Putin summit in December 2025, where 16 agreements were inked for joint ventures worth billions, including BrahMos expansions and S-400 integrations.
