The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has issued a crucial update for job aspirants registered with the Commission’s One Time Registration (OTR) system. In a bid to streamline and speed up future recruitment processes, TGPSC has made it mandatory for all registered candidates to update and validate their OTR details before applying for any upcoming job notifications. The deadline for completing this update has been extended to February 25, 2026.

Why the Update Is Essential

TGPSC officials have clarified that the move is aimed at eliminating data inconsistencies and document mismatches that have previously delayed application processing and result declarations. Around 31.56 lakh candidates are currently registered in the OTR system, and moving forward, all future recruitment applications, notifications, results and final selection decisions will be based strictly on the updated OTR data.

The Commission has already completed the selection process for all pending recruitments and is now preparing to roll out a fresh set of job notifications. TGPSC chairman Burra Venkatesham noted that updating and verifying OTR data will help in issuing appointment orders on time, reducing administrative delays.

What Candidates Must Do

Candidates must visit the official TGPSC portal to verify and update their OTR profiles. The process involves reviewing personal, educational and category details, and uploading relevant documents, including a recent colour passport-size photograph. Only a limited set of fields — such as additional qualifications, correspondence address, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) status, Non-Creamy Layer details, mobile number and email ID — can be updated during this window.

Candidates are urged to exercise utmost care while updating information and uploading certificates, as the details entered will be considered final and binding for all future recruitments.

Consequences of Missing the Deadline

TGPSC has made it clear that candidates who fail to complete the OTR update by February 25 will be ineligible to apply for any upcoming recruitment notifications. This strict enforcement emphasizes the importance of accurate data in managing large-scale recruitment efficiently.

Officials said that by validating OTR details now, candidates can avoid last-minute hurdles and ensure smoother participation in the next wave of Telangana government recruitments.
