Royal Enfield has officially launched the much-awaited Bullet 650 in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹3.65 lakh, bringing its iconic Bullet nameplate into the company’s popular twin-cylinder 650cc lineup. The motorcycle combines the classic styling that made the Bullet a legend with the proven 650cc parallel-twin platform already seen on several Royal Enfield models.
The Bullet 650 is now the most powerful Bullet ever produced by Royal Enfield. It is powered by the familiar 648cc air-oil-cooled parallel-twin engine that generates 46.4 bhp and 52.3 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch, offering smoother gear shifts and improved highway cruising capability.
Royal Enfield has retained the motorcycle’s traditional design language, including the signature teardrop-shaped fuel tank with hand-painted pinstripes, winged Bullet badge, chrome-finished pea-shooter exhausts, round LED headlamp, tiger-eye pilot lamps, chrome mirrors, and upright riding ergonomics. The company says the motorcycle has been designed to preserve the Bullet’s heritage while delivering significantly improved performance.
The motorcycle is available in two colour options — Cannon Black and Battleship Blue. Deliveries and bookings have already commenced across authorised Royal Enfield dealerships in India.
In terms of hardware, the Bullet 650 rides on telescopic front forks sourced from Showa along with twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends supported by dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle also features spoke wheels and a long wheelbase setup aimed at enhancing stability and comfort during long-distance touring.
The bike comes equipped with an analogue instrument cluster combined with a digital display and Royal Enfield’s Tripper navigation pod for turn-by-turn navigation assistance. Despite retaining a retro appearance, the Bullet 650 includes several modern features to improve rider convenience and safety.
The launch is significant for Royal Enfield because the Bullet remains one of the most iconic motorcycles in the world and has been in continuous production since 1932. The 650cc version represents a major evolution of the brand’s longest-running model while maintaining its unmistakable identity.
With the addition of the Bullet 650, Royal Enfield further expands its growing 650cc portfolio, which already includes the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650, Bear 650, and Classic 650.
Industry observers believe the Bullet 650 will appeal to enthusiasts looking for a motorcycle that combines old-school styling with modern twin-cylinder performance. Its pricing also places it close to the recently launched Classic 650, giving buyers another option in Royal Enfield’s premium retro motorcycle range.
The launch strengthens Royal Enfield’s position in the mid-size motorcycle segment, where the company continues to dominate both the Indian market and several international markets through its heritage-focused product strategy.
