India and Poland have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector following high-level talks held in New Delhi. The discussions focused on expanding collaboration in trade, technology, innovation, digital transformation, investment and enterprise development as both countries seek to deepen their strategic economic partnership.
The Indian delegation was led by MSME Secretary Bharat Khera, while the Polish side was headed by Michał Baranowski, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology. Officials from both countries explored ways to promote stronger engagement between their MSME ecosystems and create new opportunities for businesses through technology transfer, market linkages and innovation-driven growth.
During the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation in areas such as digital transformation, startup development, sustainable manufacturing, skill development and the adoption of advanced technologies. The talks also highlighted the importance of enhancing business-to-business partnerships and encouraging joint ventures between Indian and Polish enterprises.
The discussions come as India and Poland continue to strengthen their broader economic relationship. Bilateral trade has grown steadily in recent years, and both nations are looking to diversify cooperation beyond traditional sectors by promoting investments, technology partnerships and industrial collaboration. Poland is also viewed as a strategic gateway for Indian businesses seeking access to European markets.
Officials expressed confidence that closer MSME cooperation would help businesses in both countries improve competitiveness, adopt innovative technologies and expand into new international markets. They also stressed the role of MSMEs in generating employment, driving exports and supporting sustainable economic growth.
The meeting reflects the growing momentum in India-Poland relations, with both countries committed to expanding collaboration in trade, technology and innovation. As discussions continue, the strengthened MSME partnership is expected to create new business opportunities, enhance investment flows and contribute to long-term economic cooperation between the two nations.
