India’s cabinet approved ₹33,660 crore ($3.63 billion) on March 18, 2026, for the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) scheme to develop 100 plug-and-play industrial parks nationwide, boosting manufacturing capabilities.

Scheme Details

Parks ranging 100-1,000 acres will receive up to ₹1 crore per acre for core infrastructure, social facilities, and external connectivity (25% project cost). Developed via joint ventures with states and NICDC over six years, covering 33,000 acres.

Economic Impact

Targets world-class infrastructure to attract investments, create 15 lakh jobs, reduce setup time, and enhance productivity across sectors, supporting Atmanirbhar Bharat amid global supply chain shifts.

Implementation

Projects selected competitively in “challenge mode” prioritizing reforms and investment-readiness; states, CPSUs, private sector collaborate to set new benchmarks in industrial efficiency.
