Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested 19-year-old BDS second-year student Harish Ali from Saharanpur on March 16, 2026, for operating an ISIS-linked online radicalization network.

Arrest and Activities

Acting on intelligence, ATS nabbed Ali in Moradabad while he managed encrypted groups on Instagram, Session, and Discord using pseudonyms/VPNs to spread ISIS propaganda, glorify terrorists, and recruit for Sharia caliphate overthrowing India’s democracy. He founded “Al Ittihad Media Foundation” for Indian operations.

Ali coordinated with ISIS operatives in Pakistan, India, and abroad, promoting “fidayeen” attacks. He rejected democracy, aiming for global ISIS rule.

Investigation Ongoing

Court remanded him; probe expands to network members. Separate Punjab bust nabbed ISI-backed module with AK-47s.
