Amid rising temperatures and severe heatwave conditions across Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued fresh instructions to district administrations and government departments to remain on high alert and ensure public safety.
The Chief Minister directed officials to closely monitor hospitals, drinking water supply systems, and emergency response arrangements as several parts of the state continue to witness scorching temperatures. Authorities have been asked to maintain adequate medical facilities for people affected by heat-related illnesses and ensure that hospitals remain fully prepared to handle emergencies.
Officials from the health, power, and relief departments have been instructed to work in coordination and respond quickly to public complaints related to electricity, water shortage, and heatwave-related issues. The administration has also been told to increase awareness campaigns advising people to stay hydrated, avoid direct exposure to sunlight during peak afternoon hours, and take necessary precautions.
Special focus has been placed on vulnerable groups including elderly citizens, children, outdoor workers, and daily wage labourers. The state government has also directed local bodies to arrange drinking water facilities at public places and maintain uninterrupted water supply in urban and rural areas.
The India Meteorological Department has already issued alerts for several districts in Uttar Pradesh as temperatures continue to soar. Authorities have been asked to remain vigilant and ensure strict implementation of heatwave safety measures to prevent casualties and health complications during the ongoing summer conditions.
