Fahadh Faasil to Headline New Tamil Film
National Award-winning actor Fahadh Faasil is set to star in filmmaker C. Prem Kumar’s upcoming Tamil feature, marking the first collaboration between the acclaimed actor and the director of the critically praised film Meiyazhagan.
The makers officially announced the project through a launch video featuring the film’s traditional pooja ceremony. Actress Sshivada has been cast as the female lead opposite Fahadh. The project is currently being referred to as “Production No. 32.”
Shoot Begins With Pooja Ceremony
The announcement video showed Fahadh Faasil lighting the ceremonial lamp alongside director Prem Kumar, producer Ishari K. Ganesh, and actress Sshivada, signalling the official commencement of filming. The movie is being produced under the banner of Vels Film International in association with Monsoon Movies.
The production house shared the announcement on social media, confirming that the film has been written and directed by Prem Kumar. Music for the project will be composed by Govind Vasantha, who previously collaborated with the director on ’96 and Meiyazhagan.

Director C. Prem Kumar earned widespread acclaim for emotionally driven films such as ’96 and Meiyazhagan. Reports suggest the new project will move into thriller territory, marking a noticeable shift in genre for the filmmaker.
Industry observers believe the combination of Fahadh Faasil’s intense screen presence and Prem Kumar’s storytelling style has already generated strong anticipation among cinema audiences across South India.
Fahadh Continues Busy Line-Up
Fahadh Faasil was last seen in Patriot, the multi-starrer Malayalam film featuring Mammootty and Mohanlal in leading roles. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film released earlier this month.
