Earlier in the evening, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a competitive 192/4 after strong performances from Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh. Raghuvanshi impressed with a composed 71-run innings, while Rinku Singh remained unbeaten on 49 to push KKR close to the 200-run mark.
KKR appeared in control after setting a strong target, but their bowling attack failed to contain Kohli once he settled at the crease. The lack of wickets during the middle overs proved costly for the Kolkata side.
