Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a Janata Darshan programme in Gorakhpur on Monday, meeting hundreds of citizens and personally listening to their grievances. The outreach initiative, which has become a regular feature of the Chief Minister’s public engagement efforts, provided residents with an opportunity to directly present issues related to administration, law and order, healthcare, welfare schemes and land disputes.
During the programme, Yogi Adityanath interacted with people from various districts who had gathered to seek government intervention in resolving their concerns. Officials from multiple departments were present at the venue to record complaints and initiate immediate action wherever possible.
The Chief Minister directed government officials to ensure that all complaints received during the Janata Darshan are addressed promptly and fairly. He emphasized that public welfare remains the top priority of the state government and instructed authorities to adopt a sensitive approach while dealing with citizens’ problems.
Several applicants reportedly raised issues related to revenue matters, pensions, healthcare assistance, housing schemes and police-related complaints. Yogi Adityanath reviewed the representations and issued necessary directions to departmental officers for timely action and monitoring of the cases.
The Janata Darshan programme has been a key component of the Chief Minister’s governance model, enabling direct communication between citizens and the administration. The initiative aims to improve accountability and ensure that public grievances receive attention at the highest level of government.
During the interaction, Yogi Adityanath also stressed the importance of transparent governance and efficient public service delivery. Citizens attending the programme expressed hope that their concerns would be resolved quickly following the Chief Minister’s intervention. Many applicants travelled from different parts of Uttar Pradesh to participate in the event and seek direct assistance from the state administration.
