The proposed legislation is expected to modernize the legal framework governing the admissibility of banking records as evidence, taking into account the widespread digitization of banking operations and electronic record-keeping.
Rajya Sabha to Take Up National Honour Amendment Bill
In the Rajya Sabha, members are scheduled to consider and pass the Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The proposed amendment seeks to expand legal protection for additional national symbols under the existing law, forming part of the government’s broader legislative agenda during the Monsoon Session.

The Monsoon Session, which began on July 20, has a packed schedule extending until August 13, with numerous Bills relating to education, economic reforms, governance, and public administration under consideration.
