Hundreds of pro-Iran protesters stormed Pakistan’s US Consulate in Karachi on Sunday, smashing windows and clashing with police in fury over Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s death in US-Israel strikes, resulting in at least 8-9 deaths and dozens injured.

Protest Violence

Demonstrators breached the Mai Kolachi Road facility, armed with sticks, shattering glass amid anti-US and Israel chants; police fired tear gas, baton-charged, and opened fire, killing one to nine per reports while transporting wounded to Civil Hospital. Traffic sealed off surrounding roads including Jinnah Bridge.

Broader Unrest

Similar outrage hit Skardu (UN office torched), Lahore (consulate gate damaged), and impending Islamabad embassy protests; Baghdad Green Zone also saw pro-Iran crowds post-Khamenei assassination. This ties into Iran’s retaliation on Dubai Airport/Palm Jumeirah, Al Udeid, and generals’ deaths like Mousavi and Nasirzadeh.
