Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has taken a sharp swipe at the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), urging the opposition party to allow the Congress government to function without creating unnecessary political hurdles. Addressing a public event, the Chief Minister said the opposition should show patience instead of displaying frustration over losing power.
Revanth Reddy remarked that politics should be fought during elections and not by obstructing governance on a daily basis. He appealed to opposition leaders to give the government adequate time to implement its policies and fulfil the promises made to the people of Telangana. According to the Chief Minister, continuous criticism without constructive suggestions does not serve the interests of the state.
During the event, Revanth Reddy also highlighted the government’s vision of transforming Telangana into a global investment destination. He said the state aims to compete with leading economies such as South Korea and China by attracting large-scale investments, promoting industrial growth, and creating employment opportunities. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s long-term goal of building a $3 trillion economy by 2047 through infrastructure development, manufacturing, and technology-driven growth.
The remarks come amid intensifying political exchanges between the ruling Congress and the BRS. Opposition leaders have been criticising the state government over several issues, including governance, finances, and implementation of election promises, while the Congress has accused the previous BRS administration of financial mismanagement and corruption.
Political observers believe Revanth Reddy’s latest comments signal the Congress government’s intention to maintain its focus on development while countering opposition criticism. With Telangana witnessing increased political activity ahead of future elections, the exchanges between the Congress and the BRS are expected to remain a key feature of the state’s political landscape.
